Paint It White Pre-Order Question

Mod's if this isn't allowed please delete, I just don't know who else to ask!

In June/July when I was given the option to pre-order at Amazon I pre-ordered the movie and they promised it would arrive on the release date - and you can probably guess what happened - it's not here.

Is this normal? I want to pre-order Season 3 as well but I'm not sure if it's worth it if I can just go to the store and buy it the day it comes out? Has anyone else had this problem before?

And if Amazon isn't good then which company is good?

Thank you
Robin Gurl

Amazon doesn't always get the item to you the day of release, no matter what they say. I had to wait several days, maybe a week I don't remember, to get a video game I pre-ordered from them.

Yeah don't worry. It's normal, sadly. I pre-ordered mine as well and it just shipped last night. I won't get it until the middle of next week due to no mail over Thanksgiving. We'll all just have to wait patiently (and by that I mean spazz out until it arrives).

I preordered Paint it White from deepdiscount and received it over a month ago.

I've never had a problem with them and would recommend them. Rightstuf is pretty good about that stuff too, and whenever I've had a problem their customer service dept was great about fixing everything for me.

To be honest, Amazon has never guaranteed a release date delivery for their pre-ordered items...except for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I reread Amazon's release date delivery policy. Only certain items are eligible, and you must choose the specified delivery method (which is usually the most expensive method).

Anything I have ever ordered from Amazon has been shipped on the release date and I receive it about a week later.

Yeah, seconded - the only time I've gotten preorders anywhere near the release date is the last Potter novel. The most recent one came a week after the release date :\ Not pleased, but not surprised.

My order from Amazon hasn't even been shipped... /sob

I think their policy was not to release the DVD until the release date, which means it should begin shipping today and arrive within 2-5 business days, depending on what your payment plan was.

You definitely should check your order status on Amazon, the order could still be in process. You don't want to go out and buy it at the store when it's already promised in the mail, so it's better to just make sure.

It's normal, I have mine now as well =^.^=

I preordered and got mine today, but I think they only guarantee release date delivery in certain regions. Everything I've preordered from them (games, books, DVDs) has always come on release day - maybe you're just not close enough to their distribution center?

I ordered my copy from Right Stuf International ( www.rightstuf.com ) and I got it several weeks ago.

I'd recommend them. They're very reliable, they're fast and their customer service is very good. Plus, they have really good discounts, especially during studio sales (which come up around four times a year for major studios like Funimation).

I haven't pre-ordered too many things from Amazon, but the stuff I have (the movie and the second DVD included) all came on the days they were released without any problems. I'm sorry your experience hasn't been as good. D:

Definitely use Rightstuf.

My own copy of the movie was only $20 there, and shipped soon enough that it was at my friend's house and on its way to me by the 12th.

They seem to only accept credit cards. But. I guess if you're able to use Amazon in the first place, that won't be an issue.

Both times I pre-ordered something from Amazon (ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection and Paint it, White!) and selected release date delivery, I received the items exactly when they said they would arrive. My mom pre-orders a ton of books from them, too, and I haven't heard her complain about receiving them late...

I'm sorry that I can't offer any advice. D:

I almost ran into the same problem tonight. I pre-ordered my DVD, and it said "Receive it on it's release date- November 22, 2011!"
When I got home from school, it wasn't here. When I had assumed that it wasn't coming (even after my friends and I had been waiting eagerly, watching season 1 and 2 and staring out the window, I was really upset.
Then at around 6, the UPS truck came with my copy of Paint it white!
Advice: Make sure you choose 2 day, or one day shipping (whichever one says "Receive it on it's release date _______") To make sure, you can also chat with someone that works at Amazon to make sure that you will be receiving it on the release day. (That's what I did a few days ago, and the online chats are absolutely free!)
Good luck in the future for Season 3, and I hope you get your copy of Paint it white soon! :3

Don't worry! I haven't gotten mine either.
I hope it'll come soon >_

Definitely go with rightstuf.com

I've been using them for years. They almost ALWAYS deliver early on pre-ordered stuff. I've ordered tons of stuff from them and they've only screwed up, like, once. And that was totally forgivable.
