[Fanart] Pics and Mini Comics
First post. Enjoy. I hope.
Title: Those Poor Bastards
Author/Artist: ca_manzanita
Character(s) or Pairing(s): England, America, Germany, Canada
Rating: PG-13 (probably being too conservative)
Warnings: mild swearing, bad coloring
Summary: Old pics of Bastogne and fanart and semi-comics from various fanfics by mithrigil at mithrigil.livejournal.com/425100.html#cutid1

From the summary for "And All I Have is Thine"

Another from the summary of "Anthem part 2"

A scene from "And the Oars Keep Time". I weighed the options between putting England in either a redcoat or a Royal naval uniform. I finally decided on the latter since it made sense for me to England be navy when he was addressing the seamen.

From "Wrapped Around with Kindness"
Okay onto old stuff:

Since getting into Hetalia I wanted to illustrate bits of WW2 with these characters. So, here we have America at Bastogne December 1944 dressed as a 101st Airborne Paratrooper. It was a bit like Valley Forge: it was the dead of winter with short of supplies, hardly any winter clothes, and poor shelter. The difference was being completely surrounded by the Germans (who had everything they didn't) and being under almost constant artillery fire. This was also where the famous"Nuts" incident took place.

Lastly, Germany guarding the last strong defense against the Allied Forces before crossing into German lands.

And the second one. England's exasperated expression is also :D
It's really nice to see non-manga style and accurate clothing. I dig soldier!America looking cold. Really good uniforms. :)
Lovely work!

I agree with Dru - SO MANRY.
the first one makes me laugh in a "hahaha ohhhh... :c" kind of way.
and loooool at the second, and Art's last expression. AND THE NIGHTCAP, GOOD LORD.
I love the deep, desaturated tones of the last two pieces - very grim.
