Ah, sorry, I'd just come back from the FUNimation blog when I wrote that, and there were all sorts of people complaining about the age thing as if it were FUNi's fault specifically and no-one else's, so yeah. OTL

I have no idea why they don't have the "get a parent's permission" thing. The only reason I can think of is that maybe because Hetalia is technically rated for a mature audience here in the US, they have to try and not allow for the possibility of a minor winning that prize, parent's permission or not? It sounds silly, but I have seen sillier reasons for wanting to exclude someone from a contest.
