Also, the original pencil lines and concept shading, because it always looks better, though very smudgy:

And then TL;DR:

This picture is brought to you by HRE/Chibitalia + Dancing with the Stars Classical Week + Princess Tutu.
I attempted to reference a pose from Ralph and Karina's Waltz to the theme from Romeo and Juliet. You should watch the dancing because it is much better than my attempt to draw it, and also the music is lovely and goes well with this picture.
I am just making things like anatomy and depicting motion and how-do-clothes-swish-around and etc. up as I go, and trying to draw two young boys from a reference sketch of a grown man and woman, so, uh. It's not as perfect as I'd imagine it being, but it could have gone a lot lot worse
At one point in the anime Princess Tutu, a character dances a pas de deux by herself, and it's really poignant and gorgeous. I love the idea of dancing so convincingly and with such feeling that you believe your partner is with you even though you're alone, that other people believe you're dancing with a partner, and that in a way you can practically make that person be there.
The title, Tu con me, is (hopefully) Italian for "You with me." Google suggests I can just yank the words out of song lyrics without them losing their meaning, anyway. The song in question would be Katherine Jenkins' rendition of Time to Say Goodbye, also via Dancing with the Stars, and it seems to go nicely with this picture as well.
