Can anyone point me towards people or places willing to critique my work?

If anyone would like to see the work itself:
* It's 3,160 words split into a prologue and one chapter
* USxUK
* PG-13 for language

I've heard of that one. :3 Do you have to create an account to have your work reviewed or is there some type of forum setup where they can take a look that way? Do you know how fast you'll get rewiews for anything you post?

Essentially you set up a profile and people review it if they want to. but if you summarize you're looking for serious review, you can expect a few more people to help you out.

Regarding the fanfiction.net comment above, there are betareaders there too whom you can contact to read over your work and give you concrit and stuff to improve on ;3. I've worked with good betareaders from that site :).

usxukworkshop is a community dedicated specifically to giving advice for usxuk writers, so I definitely suggest you check that place out (:

As mentioned above, ff.net is a good place for feedback, HOWEVER, keep in mind that if you post a story, not everyone will comment (even if you ask) and of those you receive, most will not be the constructive feedback you are looking for. As for the beta readers, you have to find them. Searching the listings is a shot in the dark, really. Example - I am a registered beta reader and I can't even find myself!

Depending on what you want, the workshop might be a good place. If you want, I would also be willing to offer my services as a beta reader for you. :)

I see thanks for that. I should've mentioned the time constraints though, since I need to turn out a finished product by the end of the month. I will keep it in mind when I need more reviews and critique in the future though so I thank you for your input!

oh yes! I posted it there to ask for help but thought it would be good to gain more attention for it in other Hetalia communities, if only for the fact that usxuk workshop seems.... oddly vacant. I don't mean to be rude but I don't usually see others posting their work there and it's hard to tell how many users pass through...

You would be willing to beta read?

I'm glad for the extra info you gave, and it sucks that finding betas seems a bit awkward there. I know a lot about comments on ff.net, I have oftentimes just given encouragement and said how "good" it was, so I can see how that wouldn't be as constructive. lol I have used the workshop as a place to post it and even left if public for anyone passing through.

It would be great if you could betaread for me, if it's not too much trouble. I think it would be good to have another's advice and lovelycudy has let me know that she'll try to read it if she has time. Two betas are better than one!

I do have some edits that I'll try to write within a day or two so if you'd like I'll let you know when the changes have been made and you can go from there?
