[Art dump] The Aristocat + Princetalia
Or, a small art dump of half-finished projects with I-ran-out-of-creativity names.
Titles: Aristocat; Princetalia
Artist:
sobdasha
Characters: Austria-cat, N. Italy-kitten, HRE-kitten; HRE, Chibitalia
Pairings: HRE/Chibitalia
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Description: Apparently I like my crossovers: Aristocat = Nekotalia + The Aristocats; Princetalia = Chibitalia arc + Le Petit Prince
So this first one you can blame on icon #27 from this post. At first glance I mistook Hungary-cat for a N. Italy-kitten, and promptly gave a joyous squeal of "It's just like that scales and arpeggios song!"quickly followed by an equally silly proclamation: "From now on instead of Austria-cat I'm going to call him The Aristocat!" But then I realized that it was actually Hungary-cat, and that I still needed my crossover, and I was forced to draw it myself.
Aristocat - Scales and arpeggios:

You must learn your scales and your arpeggios
No, I don't know of this "perspective" you speak of. And yes, the piano is supported by magic, Aristocat is just that amazing.
Aristocat - Practicing:

If you're faithful to your daily practicing you will find your progress is encouraging
Practice = stalking ??
The correct way to draw a Holy Roman Empire-kitten is to shrink a Germany-cat and then put a yellow ribbon on him, Y/Y?
In theory there are more pictures that can fit in this series, but so far I've been too lazy to draw them.
This next one is not a complete storyline, but apparently I can't resist trying to cross everyone in Hetalia over with Le Petit Prince.
Princetalia - Petite vie mélancolique:

ta petite vie mélancolique
your melancholy little life
The background shading was a last-minute compromise experiment, which hopefully turned out well.
(I also scanned this in black and white, because I can't decide between the two versions; this one preserves the softness of the background and keeps it from overwhelming the picture, but the black and white has a charming crispness to it)
Princetalia - Ramona soigneusement ses volcans:

Il ramona soigneusement ses volcans
He carefully swept his volcanoes
Technically since I just made Chibitalia the rose in the preceding picture, he shouldn't be the one to sweep the volcanoes. But with all the sweeping Chibitalia does, how can I possibly resist this image?
(I also scanned this in black and white, because I can't decide between the two versions; this one preserves the softness of the background and keeps it from overwhelming the picture, but the black and white has a charming crispness to it)
And then for a bonus, because they both ended up on the same paper, here's the sheet of reference-sketching I used:

As it turns out, if I not only get a reference image, but also try drawing it on scrap paper first, it actually improves my drawing ability. If only I could have gotten that through my head years earlier.
The images are from:
- That blog image
- Icon #27
- That other blog image
- Lei Chi Sono Dolci 01, for both Chibitalia and HRE
The other four scribbles are debating how I might color in the background without messing the picture up
I could also probably add at least one other picture to this series, but--lazy.

PLEASE.
Le Petit Prince is my favourite book. I'm getting a tattoo from it. AND YOU JUST MIXED IT WITH MY FAVOURITE ANIME. ♥ ♥ ♥

It's people like you who keep encouraging me to shamelessly do stuff like this over and over again
but I don't mind, I'm having too much fun doing it. (I don't know if you clicked through all the links but if not, here I also drew a Spamano version (http://community.livejournal.com/hetalia/8536823.html), in case you're longing for more.)no subject

I can't really draw either cats or pianos but that's all those pictures consist of. On the other hand, they turned out much better than I expected, so I am pleased.no subject
