Let's make a game!
As an extra project for a class, I'm going to be making a game using the Greenfoot program and have decided to make it about Hetalia. A major part of my project is involving you, the community, in the process of making this game.
I was thinking of making it similar to the Prussia cleaning game, only insanely more complicated. Like having the results of certain options randomized. For example if you chose the option to participate in a battle, there would be a 50 or 70% chance of you losing depending on what path you chose before.
For the story of the game, I would like to have the person you play as be human and have the countries be people you interact with. This will help the player relate to the character and be more easily able to take on their role. You could be a new recruit for the Prussian army during the 7 years war or a servant at one of the nations houses or an intern at the UN.
What time periods or ideas do you want to see in the game?
This probably won't be the last game I make, especially since I'll already have the code written. Maybe even after I'm done with this game people could write out their own story map and I could put it into code. Or, if they want to brave wilds of programming, take the code I've made and make a game themselves.
The project will be due at the end of the semester so expect the finished game around December.
The next post I make will include a poll on which story scenario I should use for the game so I'd appreciate suggestions and ideas to use as options.
