Hey everyone! Was on a roll and decided to translate one of my personal favourite strips, "Lithuania's Out Sourcing" series!

Also, sorry about the typo on the last post. Lativa=Latvia. I need more sleep.

The usual, translation by youkofujima and editing by konkira, thanks for your hard work!

Note: Russia addresses America as "America-kun," but due to the size of the word bubbles, it was edited out.





After World War I, Lithuania was so poor that one couldn’t even eat boiled rice in that country. Thus, about one third of the population went to America to seek jobs.

(note: the first part says “kyatoru,” with the “ru” in hiragana to show that it’s a made-up verb. And then the second is the extended version of this, also with the hiragana “ru”)






UK: "How are you able to adjust so well to this?"
Lithuania: "If you’ve lived with Poland for all hours of the day and then got invaded by Russia, you would know."

Yes! This exactly! When I was reading through the script beforehand I was all "Where's the crazy? He sounds so reasonable! I don't get it!" then, come cleaning time when I actually saw the panel it suddenly clicked. Ohhhh, there's the crazy!

Er. I forgot to mention that I always interpreted Russia's comment in the last panel as being more of his "secondhand" posession, but ex works too. It's funnier that way, I guess....
