Hello Hello! The APH forum The Past Is Never Dead is looking for members! If you haven't guessed already by the title, this is a forum that focuses on REAL LIFE HISTORICAL AND CURRENT EVENTS. Yes yes! Currently we have threads going on about the Dedication of Schweizherhof, the Franco-Prussian War, the Surrender of Königsberg, the Third War of Italian Independence, and many more!

Our Current World:
Our main rule is that you have to be 17 years old or older. (Though I'm lenient on this and will allow mature 16 year olds as well.) The main reason is that many sensitive events will be covered, so we need players that will be able to handle topics and discussions maturely.
A large majority of the forum remains locked to non-members for various reasons, such as R 18 threads. Once you are accepted on the forum, you will see the rest of the sections which are divided up into;
Ancient History, Middle Ages, 17th Century, 18th Century, 19th Century, 20th Century, 21st Century, and Off Topic. Most of those have sub-sections for different wars, such as the World Wars, the Great Northern War, the Italian Wars, and others.
Yes, there is an APPLICATION that you will be asked to fill out before joining. We ask that you submit the application to the link in a comment(s), BEFORE you register on the forum. (1) We need to see that you know your nation. (2) That you can write in a literate style. (3) We also need to see some sort of character development for your nation, as nations do change over the centuries! (Note: All applications will be screened, in case we have more than one person applying for the same spot. Sometimes, however, I show my fellow members sample posts from the applications. If you do not want me showing them to anyone, please leave me a little note saying "Please do not show".)
Don't feel intimidated with the history aspect! Our RPers are knowledgeable and are willing to help you and/or point you in the right direction. If you are having any problems with getting started, please check out our Seven Lucky Steps to Success!
