Based on a true story by my History teacher. Her grandfather for whatever reason had some explosives he had to store somewhere for the duration of the war and he put them in his barn.

The end of the "Continuation War" was a bit complicated, technically Russia didn't conquer us but they still pretty much had the control over the peace treaty, so we had to chase our former German allies out of Lapland by force. [link] They then resulted in the age old "burned land" - technique and pretty much all of Lapland got burnt.

Not, however, my teacher's grandpa's house. The barn was in ashes but the house intact. The Germans had lit the barn first and since it was full of explosives... XD Apparently they had then decided that if this Finn was crazy enough to booby-trap their barn, they didn't want to know what he had done to the house... XD

She told the story years ago, and ever since I got into Hetalia, I've wanted to draw this. ...Even if it turned out so half-assed. XD
