Hetavision: Worldwide Cosplay Video Project

Hetavision 2010

Hello, fellow Hetalia fans. As you may know, not long ago the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was taking place. So one day, while talking with my dear [livejournal.com profile] thesikorsky , the idea of doing Hetavision came up.

That's why we're asking you for some help~♥

We would need you to tell us what you would like to see in a Hetalia cosplay version of Eurovision.

We'll start officially on the 22nd of June, so you have until the 20th to give us all your ideas. We can't promise we'll do everything, but we'll try anyway.

The plans so far are to re-enact the performances and the results from Eurovision, plus some bonuses.

1)Performance: basically, you just redo the performance as best as you can. Try to be as close as possible to the original.

2)Results: same, recreating the announcement of the votes.

3)Bonuses: this part include the preselections songs, for instance, if Lithuania wants to dance in sparkly booty shorts or Sweden sing about being a Manboy, just go ahead~ We would also like you all to dance that Around Europe dance thing~

We need suggestions for things to offer bonus points for.

And here are examples of requests you can give:

Belarus: Wear wings.
Germany: The cute dress~
Norway: You can do the Alexander Rybak intro song too =w= And do the whole presenting thing if you feel like it, for the bonuses.
France: Do the French dubbing =w=b
England: ... That BOX.
Estonia: Sing your votes
Russia: Snow~? And a crappily hand-drawn “photo”.
Prussia: Do the result part, and scream "GO WEST!"
Spain: get a Romano to join in the performance. Or a Tomato. Or Iggy. Or France. Just get interrupted by something. (and that one managed to get away >:/ now it's corrected.)
Iceland: If you do that volcano model thing for the bonus points, you'll be loved. And wear the dress too <3
America: Wave an American flag.

Those requests are things we would LOVE to see. Sadly we also get it's not always easy.

More informations here on the 22nd, when we officially start it by asking fellow cosplayers to join in the empty slots~♥

Oh and, if you have any question, PM one of us, we'll answer as soon as we can.

I never watched Eurovision- I watched Lithuania's entry though

but I am not sure if you would want to dance to that

[identity profile] kirakira-kirimi.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Awww . . . I'm already cosplaying eurovision!Lithuania to ConnectiCon, and I have the sparkly shorts and all, but I can't do it because my camera is dead. D:

Bonus Point stuff:

[identity profile] adk3n.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Turkey: Robots, just a random robot in the background of his epicness
Spain: Plushies of random people getting tossed at him ( interfering fan lol)
England: Cheezy Glee-esque-ness

That's all I can think of =v=;;

[identity profile] bosscookie.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
This is irrelevant but I am going to Connection and I am sooo excited to see you in that cosplay haha.

[identity profile] kirakira-kirimi.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
o3o Totally~.

[identity profile] rozarinnn.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Me and a friend discussed this on our RP group about 2 weeks back and we had to cosplay as the character we RP'd as and sing the song, and if a country didn't have a Eurovision entry (For not being in Europe, etc) they could do a country that isn't Hetalia-fied if they wanted. It's still being thought over but yeah XD; I might participate when I get my prom dress (even if it isn't red) ¬w¬ and Do Iceland for you when I manage to get a hold of an Iceland wig. But that's /if/ I can o3o If not, best of luck getting people! ^^

[identity profile] mykonos2.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh man, I so love you for this - I've been waiting for someone to do this...

...unfortunately, I don't have a cosplay outfit, or wigs, and I've never done a cosplay, so I don't dare doing something, but I'll try to think of some suggestions :D

[identity profile] fuzzlekins.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Spain should be interrupted by Kanye West.

[identity profile] onionrice.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Everyone: Do the flashmob dance that they had in the interval. (The dance is easy to learn, I learned it right after Eurovision ended).

[identity profile] rozarinnn.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright! ^^

[identity profile] gomimushi.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
This isn't quite relevant, but if Sweden sings Manboy, I'll give them my firstborn. Or have their babies. Either way.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_sparkli_/ 2010-06-11 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd love to see drunken Iggy commentary in the true British Eurovision tradition. Bring back Wogan! \o/

[identity profile] gomimushi.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, actually, I completely second this. True British snark re:Eurovision would be grand.

[identity profile] lunarshade29.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
Well I haven't seen any of Eurovision, though I really should look them up.
But I do have something~
America: Don't Stop Believin'. (I have to sing it for chorus, the "Glee" version.)
Canada: Really lame but... the hosts/background/audience/whatever looking for the next contestant even if he is on stage. And then he sings really well, but everyone forgets.

If I think of less lame things I will totally tell you -_-'

[identity profile] mizzsheldon.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 08:57 am (UTC)(link)
Random thought is random, but it would be pretty fun to get the whole Glow flashmob dance in there, too, though that might be a whole other video by itself, haha.

[identity profile] gomimushi.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
Oh this is great. If you're on the case to make sure Sweden sings manboy, I don't feel like I have anything to fear! <3

And alright, I'll lay off the giving babies thing (I wouldn't want to bankrupt anyone!), but i'm up for bribing her any other way I can afford. ;'D I really, really look forward to this, since I'm always watching Eurovision with Hetalia goggles... <3

[identity profile] needle-point09.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 11:46 am (UTC)(link)
Whoever is doing Norway, if they do the whole commentary thing, then they have to do the thing that the British people saw in the interval. Eric. And the apple cake. Eric saying: 'There are nuts in the apple cake!' IN ICELANDIC.
That was hot.

[identity profile] mykonos2.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I second this. Also, I learned it right after Eurovision as well.

[identity profile] mykonos2.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 02:00 pm (UTC)(link)
- Spain could carry a clown doll with him... XD

- Belgium should turn her flag upside down - to try to make it look like a German flag (does anyone know what I'm talking about?)Image (http://img197.imageshack.us/i/beldice.jpg/)

- Can a Greece please perform the 'Opa' song...?

-Russia should wear a scarf and make 'snow' from paper or something

-While giving votes, Poland should say 'Polish people are from Poland' (this is so random, I know, but it happened XD)

- Estonia's jacket. Do I need to tell more?

- Which voter said "The big mother of Russia"? Someone could say that too XD

-Also, Germany or Prussia could say "This is awesome!" because Lena said it too after performing for the second time (guess who taught her that XD)

Also, the art doesn't belong to me. It was posted to eurotalia

glad to be of service~ =v=7

[identity profile] lunarshade29.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry -_-
I will try to look up some better bonus in a bit.

[identity profile] thesikorsky.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
AWESOME suggestions, thanks for these, they sound like they'll be a laugh XD

I'm gonna be Spain, and I'm gonna try and get some of my friends into clown costumes and be my background crew lol

A for Estonia's outfit... I swear, Cruella de Ville, amirite? XD

[identity profile] thesikorsky.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol that'd be pretty awesome XD We'll try and get it in, thanks for the suggestion

[identity profile] thesikorsky.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, we're gonna try and get that in =)

[identity profile] thesikorsky.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Inunobaka's right, only European countries really ^^; But there were some random Americans waving the American flag in the audience, so we're gonna try and get that in too lol

[identity profile] thesikorsky.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Btw I love your icon

[identity profile] mykonos2.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Welcome <3

Oh my- I LOVED that jacket XD

[identity profile] mizzsheldon.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm suddenly very glad I know that dance XD

[identity profile] kanisi-kokoro.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
If I could get this costume for any of them together, I would... though I might just have to try. I cosplay Italy, Poland, and Latvia, so... I'm sure I could get something together for them. XD

[identity profile] lunarshade29.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha thanks! I love it too :3
