If you have a second c:
Uhhh~ If it’s not allowed, then just delete it, but I had an idea for a hetalia roleplay and I wanted a second opinion of sorts. It IIIIIIIs hetalia-related.
Okay, so just a while ago I formulated this veeeery vague idea for a roleplay because I wanted to see the nations being spies. Spies are cool. They’d still be countries, and the time period would be a prolonged Cold War—the world polarizes into teams, basically, America vs Russia and the neutrals just looking out for themselves, as well as double-crossers and the whole espionage shebang. I want it to be mostly historical (for example, you wouldn’t have England being on Russia’s ‘team’ unless he was gonna double-cross him. ) but as it’s an AU, which is basically what-if-the-Cold-War-didn’t-end-and-the-Eastern-Bloc-was-still-up-and-the-Soviet-Union-was-still-going-on-par-with-America, I also want creativity and rewritten history that sorta… makes SENSE. :U I want to do the roleplay on proboards because that’s the only forum I know how to even remotely use, and I’m thinking I can make a separate part for the Soviet/Commie team that the nations on America’s team can’t see and vice versa. So now I have a few dilemmas. If you’re kind enough to give me your opinion~? You don’t have to answer both of the questions if you want~ I’m just sort of rambling, I can’t form my vague ideas into words well sometimes so if you’re not understanding, it’s my fault xD
1) Is this vague idea something worth pursuing? I probably didn’t explain it well enough, or maybe it sounds better in my head, but as it’s going to be a lot of work, should I even go through with it? Is it something you’d join?
2.) I want there to be cool historical things that are made up, ie, made up bosses and made up assassinations and weapons and war secrets. If there’s going to be espionage, you have to have intelligence to steal first, and the intelligence a nation would steal is something we’d have to actually make up. I want the players to do most of this making-up stuff, but how would I make it completely established so that there are no misunderstandings of the fake world? Should I write out an elaborate and huge fake history (that is mostly derived from real history, the only part changed would be the part PAST the Cold War’s End, because the cold war is still going in the roleplay. :U America would have still left England, for example, but in the roleplay, he is not the sole superpower.) for the time period in the roleplay (I DON’T HAVE THE BRAINS FOR THAT.) and have everyone take their missions and info and political status and such from that, or should I let everything play out in the roleplay (for example, the player would mention so and so is their president and they recently developed so and so, and then I would just take that information and post it in a collective thread? That would take a lot of work and the ideas might conflict.) Or could I just have each player write out a political status (so and so is the president, this is what weapons they’re using, etc..) in their profiles and that would be the thing to go off of? Yeahthisdidn’treallymakesenseatall I tried…
Ummm, if for some reasons this has sparked your interest and you want to go into it further, or help me with some of the other problems/plotholes… or even be a total Godsend and be a co-admin with me, just pm me and if you want to talk, I’ll give you my MSN or my AIM C:
Thanks!
(Again, if this isn’t allowed, don’t hesitate to delete iiiit.)
