Help with Egypt Cosplay?/Reference

Hey everyone; for SMASH this year a friend of mine wants to cosplay Egypt. The problem is there arent a lot of very good reference pictures for his military picture - all we really have to go by is the chibi picture on the trading card, which is decent but it's very hard to make out some details - particulary his feet. We can see he has bandages on his legs and then some kind of shoes or boots; but it's hard to make out exactly how these should look.
Can anyone help with some reference on how this part of the costume should be done?
If you have cosplayed Egypt before (or know someone who has), how did you do this part?

I sorta took a bit of liberty with mine. A lot of fanart has black boots with wrapping from just below knee down to ankle, and that seemed pretty practical to me.
I also went a little slightly with references to the begining of The Mummy 8DD

Basically, he has a tan uniform like Romano or Spain, except his selves are rolled up.
His has bandages around his ankles to his lower ankle and where combat boots. (In my ref.) Don't forget the scarf...like i did...OTL
Also having a bit of thin eyebrows help.
He has a black belt across his waist area.
Try to get a real Kheffi, they look so much better. (A few of my cosplays i use a ver long pillow sheets.)

On his feet, Egypt wears black sandals with a single strap across the foot, though it's hard to tell whether he's wearing socks with them or not. Above that are bandages round his legs, then baggy poofy trousers, military jacket with belt, dark brown scarf, plain white kaffiyeh on his head with a stripey rope round it. He wears a gold bangle around his left wrist.

I've studied the official pictures of him for hours and hours, and this is almost definitely accurate.

Hm, sandles you say...the others are saying boots.

Yeah, it's the trading card. But he's definitely wearing sandals.
