Summary: A fic that follows the relationship of Hetalia’s Turkey and Greece from the origins of the Ottoman Empire up until the present day.
Prologue [1071 AD; Battle of Manzikert] “Turkish flattery!” She laughed, though it was humorless. “Flatter me with a place to sit,” and here her eyes flickered in the tent’s low light, “you brat.”
Chapter 1 [1203 AD; Fall of Constantinople] "Never fall in love with an empire, Heracles,” she whispered.
Chapter 2 [1326 AD; Capture of Bursa] For every king, a crown; for every empire, a capital.
Chapter 3 [1345 AD; Fight for the Byzantine Throne] If the man brought with him a guest with hair the color of soil and eyes the sea, she should be brought to the most eastern chamber to dine with Sadiq.
Chapter 4 [1363 AD; Famine & Treaties] Heracles stared at the long table of food before him, his stomach as hollow as a dead tree.
Chapter 5 [1390 AD; Byzantine Crumbling] Osman had been right; Constantinople was a diamond set between two sapphire seas.
