[Fic] Two Short Drabbles

This is my first time posting here, so I'm a bit nervous. I just have two very short drabbles to post, but I hope you enjoy them.

Title: It Hurts
Genre: Hurt/Angst
Pairing(s): One-sided US/UK
Rating/Warnings: T for self-harm, swearing and extreme angst.
Summary: Alfred discovers that his relationship with Arthur is not as it seems...

It hurts.

It really fucking hurts.

Alfred’s gut twists as he sinks to the floor outside of the hotel room and the tears flow freely from his eyes. He chokes and slams his fist into the carpet, ‘why?’

Alfred doesn’t understand. He just doesn’t. Why would Arthur do this to him? Why? He doesn’t fucking understand.

Because he’s special, isn’t he? …Isn’t he? After all… the US and the UK are always referred to as special to one another.

At least that’s what Alfred thought they were.

__

When Alfred makes it to his room he slumps into the bathroom in a daze. He doesn’t recall smashing the mirror. He doesn’t remember filling the sink and sticking his head into it but the dripping of his hair and sting of his eyes means he did, didn’t he?

He doesn’t remember unpicking his razor. He doesn’t remember climbing the stairs to his room. He doesn’t remember bruising his knuckles from punching the floor and walls and doors and whatever else came into punching range.

But when the blade slices into his open waiting wrist and the crimson stains the sink- drips onto the shattered reflection on the floor he remembers it all too clearly.

Remembers the image of Arthur’s lithe body writing underneath the Dane’s.

Hears the cries for more falling from his mouth.

Remembers the kiss the two shared in vivid detail.

Remembers Arthur telling him he’ll always be his favourite fuck.

Remembers the Dane telling him that Arthur was better when he was younger and then pounding into the Englishman harder and rougher than before.

He remembers.

And he cuts.

And the pain slips away some.

Title: Waiting
Genre: Romance
Pairing(s): US/UK
Rating/Warnings: K for fluff.
Summary: Arthur discovers his feelings for his ex-colony are beyond those of family.

Arthur’s waited a while.

A while in his time, mind you not ours, but a while nonetheless for that special someone.

And who’d ever think that he’d have found that person in the form of his bratty ex-colony. The small child that he’d taken in as a brother, raised as a father and come to know as a lover.

Alfred is, for all intents and purposes, an idiot. The majority of his actions never cease to make Arthur shake his head in frustration and then have to clean up his mess.

He’s like a human bulldozer. But he’s his bulldozer.

Arthur knows what he feels towards Alfred is no longer platonic and that of a ward. He knows that the bridge to that scenario was burnt long ago.

He also knows that he’ll have to wait a while for Alfred to realize his feelings and even return them.

But if he’s already been waiting over a thousand years for him to enter his life, what’s a couple decades more of waiting?
