Hrmmm... is this an okay place to post?

I'm not sure if there a community better suited to my needs at the moment, but I need help looking for a fic a friend of mine was telling me about earlier this week. It's a Russia x America fic that is "very long" and looks into how their relationship changes over time. They apparently write it in order of events, on dates of significant events.

Also, some other details that are questionably credible: Ivan is a chain smoker in this fic apparently, and the author(s?) leave historical references and notes at the ends of the chapter.

Hmm.. The only "really long" one I can think of is The Chosen End. (http://community.livejournal.com/the_chosen_end/1263.html) Is that perhaps the one you're looking for?

Thank you! That was DEFINITELY it. They were saying so manny great things about the series, I felt obliged to check it out for myself.
