Part 1: Making New Friends and Enemies:

"Please refrain from touching me."

             "I ain't touching you specs."

              Silence.

            "Quit touching me."

             "I'm not!"

              A pause and then...

              "I said quit touching me!"

              "Quit being such a pussy!"

"Gilbert! Language!" Their father gruffly ordered.

               "Sorry Vati."

Ludwig sat stoically between his two older brothers. Well, Roderich was technically a cousin but Ludwig was as close to him as he was to Gilbert. Roderich's parents had died in a car crash when he was very young so he went to live with his mother's brother.  Gilbert was silently sneaking a finger to poke Roderich in the shoulder while his prim cousin glared at him.
Their father was constantly moving around because of his job although it didn't help that Gilbert got himself expelled from nearly any school that would enlist them. Their father had finally had enough and enlisted them all in a special school for troubled children: Bullworth Academy. It angered Roderich to no end because Bullowrth had no music program. Naturally he blamed Gilbert.

"Now listen carefully, boy." Their father directed his most serious back mirror gaze to Gilbert, "This is your school that'll take you. You mess this up and I'll send you to live with a private tutor in the middle of nowhere." There was a silence after this. Ludwig knew his brother hated being by himself and covered his lonliness with his huge ego. Ludwig tried to put a comforting hand on Gilbert's shoulder but his brother ignored it.

               "Got it, boy?"

                "Yes sir."

"Good, we're here." With that their car pulled up in front of an impressive looking school. The boys got their things out of the trunk and then their father drove off into the distance. A nicely dressed woman was waiting for them out front

"You must be the Beilschmidt boys. We've been expect you, welcome to Bullworth Academy." She greeted spreading her arms in what must've been a practice charade. Gilbert rolled his eyes while Roderich gave him a glare.

"I'm sure you'll be very happy here. Very happy indeed." Suddenly her polite professional demeanor changed, "Anyway, I can't waste my life waiting for naughty little boys. I've got a man to please." She said this a bit too sexually causing Gilbert to laugh out loud.

"What is so funny?" The woman narrowed her eyes at him.

"You said, heh, you said got a man to please." Gilbert laughed and Ludwig rolled his eyes and elbowed him in the stomauch.

"You want to get kicked out again?" He hissed. The woman gave Gilbert a piercing glare.

"The headmaster is expecting you, in his office." She told them dead panned.

"Alright, boys! To the office!" Gilbert grabbed his older brother and cousin and began to manuever them away from the school. He hadn't been on campus for more than five minutes and he was already causing trouble.

"His office is over there boy, in the main building." She replied before he could leave, pointing in the opposite direction, "Don't keep Dr. Crabblesnitch waiting. He's a brilliant man." Dreamily she added, "Brilliant."

They began to follow her, albiet at a slow funeral marching pace, to the main building. The gates behind them closed and they made their way to the courtyard in front of the school. Ludwig was already getting a bad feeling about this. At his old school Roderich was an easy target for bullies and this school looked like it was chocked full of them. He looked at Roderich who's head was down and he had a worried pensive look on his face. The woman brought them into the building and up the stairs to the second floor. There and older man who was greying slightly was there to greet them.

"Come in boys, come in." He sat down across from them in his office and pulled out their records. He spoke as he read, "Edelstein, Roderich: Good grades, active in the orchestra, model student. Beilschmidt, Ludwig good grades, boxer and soccer player, excellent attendence record, very good. Beilschimidt, Gilbert...oh my."

Gilbert rolled his eyes. Here it came, the big speech, "Uh-huh."

"What?" Crabblesnitch quickly snapped, "Uh-huh, what?"

                    "Uh-huh, sir."  Gilbert replied boredly.

"You've done a lot of naughty things haven't you? Vandalism, grafiti, bad language, violent conduct, disrespecting staff." The principal added in a  false mocking fearful tone, "Oh, I'm so scared! Why should I even waste my time on you?" Ludwig shot Gilbert a pleading look. He begged his brother to have the common sense not to answer that rhetorical question. Gilbert saw it and, seeing how much his brother was begging only answered, "I don't know, sir."

"Because it's my calling! It's what I do. You excell at causing trouble and I excell at fixing little boys and turning them into upstanding citizens here at the academy." Here Crabblesnitch paused, "I've got a good feeling about you boy. A feeling you and I are going to be great friends. You keep a clean nose boy, or I shall clean it myself!" He turned to the doorway, "Ms. Danvers, are you back yet?" The woman who greated them, presumably Dr. Crabblesnitch's secretary came in carrying a tea tray.

"Yes, and I have your tea headmaster."

"Ah, you are good to me Ms. Danvers." He complimented her.

"No more than you deserve, headmaster." Ms. Danvers fawned. When the two adults weren't looking Gilbert turned to his siblings and made a jacking off gesture with a loose fist.

"Take our young friends here," Dr. Crabblesnitch instructed her, "and show them around. Have them properly attired."

"Yes, headmaster." She glared at all of them and Roderich wondered what he and Ludwig had done to deserve her anger.

"Come along." She snapped, "I haven't got all day."

"Oh, and Gilbert?" Crabblesnitch added as the three headed for the door. Gilbert stopped to listen, "You will have a clean nose, so keep it clean or we'll clean it for you!" Ms. Danvers lead them outside the mainbuilding, pointed them to the boys dorm, and left them at the mercy of the school. In front of them all a bully picked up another boy and dunked him in the trashcan. Roderich gulped; this was going to be hell on earth. Gilbert frowned at they began to carry their stuff to the boy's dorm.

"This officially sucks ass." Gilbert finally spoke.

"Please, Ost, try not to get into any trouble. Remember what Dr. Crabblesnitch-"

"Fuck Crabblesnitch!" Gilbert snapped, "I mean look at these people. They're all arms dealers, serial killers, and corporate lawyers. This has got to be the worst school in the country! And that old creep thinks he can't tame my magnificent awesomeness? I-" Gilbert was cut off by a boy grabbing Roderich by the front of his shirt kicking his violin case out of his hand.

"Guess what time it is? Yep! Time for a beat down!"

Roderich squeaked as the fist came up but Gilbert grabbed it and yanked it up the kid's back. Gilbert lived to make Austria's life a living hell but only he was alloud to pick on him, no one else. Gilbert shoved the bully down and the bully's friends began to surround them.

"Get the new kids! Beat 'em down!" They  yelled drawing the other students to gather around and watch the fight. Ludwig dropped his bag and joined his brother in the fray. He was physically stronger than his older brother and cousin from his boxing lessons. Gilbert could throw a good punch too but he liked his fighting to have a little style. He grabbed a kid's wrists and made him punch himself.

"Why are you hitting yourself?" Gilbert teased his red eyes flashing like blood before letting go and sucker punching the poor guy in the gut. When it was all over Gilbert laughed like a maniac.

"And let that be a lesson to you all! You mess with Austria, you mess with us!"

Ludwig glared at his brother, way to make them public enemies at school. "Austria" blushed at the use of his secret name.

"Hm, you would not be hurting my friends, would you?~" Gilbert whipped around to become face to face with a giant. Literally. This kid had to be at least six feet tall. He was earing a smile but his purple eyes hinted that he was unbalanced. This taller boy picked Gilbert up so that they were face to face and his toes couldn't touch the ground!

"Ivan Braginski! What are you doing?" A teacher had luckily spotted them.

"I was only greeting the new kids." Ivan said innocently.

"Put him down." Ivan dropped Gilbert and the teacher turned to him next.

"And  you three! Why are you not in your uniform? Go change immediately!

Ludwig began to protest, "We didn't have time! They attacked us!"

"Go!" The teacher barked. The three looked at each other, picked up their things, and went to their dorm. Ivan smiled evily behind them. Most kids had to share a dorm and it was easier for the school to stick family together so Ludwig, Gilbert, and Austria got the same room. They went in and began to unpack.

"You must be the new kid." A voice came from their doorway. A brown haired kid with a scar scross his right eye was adressing them.

"Yeah! You want some of this?" Gilbert snapped protectively.

"Easy friend. Don't get so riled up or they'll put you on medication. I should know, nearly sent me insane. I'm Gary."

"That's great." Gilbert rolled his eyes like he couldn't care less.

"Listen tough guy." Gary snarled from being disrespected, "You're in the toughest school in the country and I'm offering to be your friend. In a place like this, you're gonna need friends." The way he said it made Ludwig flinch and he stood next to Austria protectively.

"Pfft! I don't need friends! I'm perfectly awesome all by myself!" Gilbert replied quite brightly. Although Austria would've normally admonish Gilbert for his ego he was glad for once for it. This Gary kid was giving him creepy vibes.

"Yeah, we'll see." Gary smiled darkly and left. He closed the door behind him leaving hte three in silence.

"This is hell." Austrai said miserably. Ludwig went over and sat next to his cousin to put a comforting hand on his shoulder. Gilbert gave him a brave smile.

"Relax specs. Once they know you're related to me, they'll never bother you again!"

"Whatever." Austraia grumbled and went to grab his toothbrush to go get read for bed. As he left, Gilbert turned to his younger brother, "What's gotten into him?"

Austria continued to walk down to the bathroom. There was a boy already there who had finished washing his face. He gave Austria a genuinely friendly smile, "You must be the new kid. I'm Antonio  Fernandex Carriedo." He held out his hand to shake which Austria gladly accepted.

"I'm Roderich Edelstein. Pleasure to meet you."

"Why did that guy call you Austria?" Antonio asked.

"Oh, that's my secret name. My cousin, the loud annoying one, gave us and our old friends secret code names based on countries. Mine is Austria."

"Cool, what's your cousins'?" Antonio asked cheerfully.

"Well, that's the secret part." Austria replied, "Only the person who has the name, or my cousin Gilbert, could tell you it. It's a dumb thing we've had since we were children."

"I don't think it's dumb at all." Antonio replied as he gathered his things, "I guess I'll see you later Roderich."

                           "Antonio?"

                           "Yes?"

"Call me Austria." Here Austria smiled for him which made Antonio smile brightly.
