[FANART] Germany, Sketches of America & Greece

Title: untitled -- just one complete piece and two sketches!
Author/Artist: [livejournal.com profile] bombaygin (or RoosterBlue @ deviantart)
Character(s) or Pairing(s): Germany , USA, Greece
Warnings: Nazi theme for Germany - not suitable for sensitive viewers
Summary: I come bearing two sketches and one completed drawing! I do apologize for the messiness of the sketches, but hopefully they will be complete at some point! :D (Poses were referenced for America!)
Tools Used: Open Canvas, Wacom Tablet

A small explanation on this one: before I finish a sketch,
I will draw it naked before I cloth them. XD
Is this normal with other artists? I'd love to know!

Thank you for looking!

Kyyyym! :D You know I love these! ♥

Ludwig looks so angsty! And lovely! He's so beautiful. He's got a marvelous profile. :3 I just love how brightly colored the armband is. And his pretty eyes!

And angsty Alfred! *hugs him* I'm working on the collab piece and have a rough outline of Arthur sketched in next to him. But Alfred is beautiful. I love his hair!

And Greece being all sexy and pretty! He looks so wistful. I love his hair too! And his shoulders and collarbones. And his stomach. :D *pokes it* And you're not alone--I usually draw people naked before I clothe them too. XD Which is why so many of my people end up naked anyway 'cause I'm too lazy to put clothes on them... ;D

Anyway, I adore these, bb!

Oh, I draw people naked before clothing them as well, so you are not alone XD It becomes a bit of an issue when people look over my shoulder at my work, but it helps me with my art and makes things more...anatomically sound imo.~

Anyway, it seems to work well for you X3 I really like your style. The completed picture of Germany is sooo lovely. I adore the colors, and the way it just blends into the black...~

And I will now be taking advantage of your inclination of sketching people naked before clothing them to stare at Greece. Mmmm.

B'awww, I will admit no such thing! ;D Okay, I love them because I love you, but ALSO because they are awesome on their own! *loves on your art* X3

I knowwwwww, poor Ludwig! D: WWII must've been some really trying times for him as a country, and he must've been so torn!

Hm, we didn't decide on what we were going to do after I drew in Arthur. XD Well, I think you work a lot better than I do with colors. So perhaps I could ink 'em, and you could make them look beautiful with your coloring! X3

Hahaha, those eyes do give Doey a run for his money! ;D *cuddles Heracles* God, I do draw a lot of naked boys, don't I? XD Clothes do not agree with me! But don't worry, for our collab, I will make sure Arthur isn't nekkid. XD

And I adore you too! X3

lol yea i draw them naked too :D i think alotta people do it, its such a good strategy. but please don't clothe that greece :D :D im enjoying the blissful sexiness xD

I draw the figures naked before clothing them every time. And this can get awkward, as I'm one of those people who gets five minutes into a sketch and decides she doesn't like it and moves on. So, to the untrained eye, my sketchbook is almost exclusively comprised of naked people. Explanation only worsens things.

That aside, I realy like your drawings of America and Spain. I respect any artist brave enough (and good enough) to post their work on this comm... I'm much too nervous to. They're really wonderful, and I love the composition of America's image.

Wow. That is Greece not Spain. I just noticed the curl on his head. AND now that I've probably offended you into next Tuesday, I'll take my leave. *hides*

I'm sorry ;A;

Man, LJ's being a pain in the ass about not notifying me of replies! Anyway!

It would be very interesting to have a naked Arthur beside a fully-clothed Alfred. XD Perhaps one day Arthur will have to show up at Alfred's completely sans clothing, eh? ;D

My colors are so not nicer than yours! You have a much better sense of color than I do! You just make it all...work together! :3

*rolls around on you like HRE!*

yeah, I draw people naked before I clothe them too, and so does one of my friends (I don't know about all the others 'cuz I never watch them draw). I think it makes the anatomy turn out a little better . . . and I need that because boy, do I suck!

YOUR PICTURE OF GERMANY IS GORGEOUS. Nazi+angst is a pretty good combination . . .

[identity profile] kakkobean.livejournal.com 2009-08-08 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
I DRAW THEM NAKED FIRST, TOO! *high fives*

[identity profile] masterofveggies.livejournal.com 2009-08-08 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I really love the Germany picture, the expression works very well and the prominent swastika is definitely strong.

I used to not draw them naked first, but within the past 6 months or so I have been, and all my drawing-friends draw them naked too, so I think its normal?

[identity profile] lyralucine.livejournal.com 2009-08-08 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
What an absolutely beautiful Greece! *3*

And I draw naked at first too :D I don't think it's that odd but it has caused some weird situations when friends come to peek over my shoulder and go all "You are drawing naked people AGAIN?!" ^^;;

[identity profile] kittylevin.livejournal.com 2009-08-09 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
Oh man . . . I always feel so guilty when I use a reference, so I don't do it much. But I probably should.
