I joined back to post this. I totally think this song is fits Germany SO DAMN well..I'll post the german and English translated lyrics.. I really would love to see a vid of this for Germany.

This is Deutsch. That is right!

Eins - zwei. Sonne - Licht.
Fleiß ist Tugend, Wahrheit Pflicht.
Zu Befehl. Jawohl mein Herr!
Wir sind deutsche Roboter.
Drei - vier. Sternennacht.
Arbeit fertig. Gut gemacht!
Harte Ziele - hoch gesteckt
Die Maschine läuft perfekt.
Korrekt - Perfekt!

Wir müssen uns vermehren.
Die Welt zum Heil bekehren.
Geboren, um zu dienen.
Auferstanden aus Ruinen.

This is Deutsch. Repeat! This is Deutsch.

Links - Rechts. Im Quadrat.

Kindergarten - Zinnsoldat.
Immer pünktlich - stets korrekt,
weil in uns was Deutsches steckt.
Korrekt - Perfekt!
Fünf - Sechs. Überwacht!
Stillgestanden - Gut gemacht!
Links zwo - weitergehen.
Deutscher Bürger - Dankeschön!
Im Takt - Exakt!

Wir müssen uns vermehren.
Den Lieben Gott verehren.
Gezüchtet um zu siegen.
Auserwählt und nie zufrieden.

This is Deutsch. Repeat! This is Deutsch.

Eins - zwei. Auf und nieder.
Drei - vier. Immer wieder
Fünf - sechs Sieben - acht
Wir sind Deutschland! Gut gemacht!
Eins - zwei. Auf und nieder.
Drei - vier. Immer wieder
Stechschritt, Hofbräuhaus
und die Sendung mit der Maus.

This is, This is, This is Deutsch!

'The this is the english translation from here Eisbrecher website

One - two. Sun - light.
Diligence is virtuous, truth obligatory
Aye-aye, sir! Sir, yes sir!
We are German robots.
Three – four. Starry night.
Work complete. Well done!
Hard goals – set high
The machine runs perfectly.
Correct – perfect!

We must multiply.
We must convert the world to salvation.
Born to serve.
Risen from the ruins.

This is German. Repeat! This is German.

Left - right. Squared.
Kindergarten – tin soldier.
Always on time – ever correct,
Because we have something German inside
Correct – perfect!
Five – six. Under surveillance!
Halt – Well done!
Left two – keep moving.
German citizen – thank you!
In the beat – exactly!

We must multiply.
We must worship God.
Bred to win.
Chosen and never satisfied.

This is German. Repeat! This is German.

One - two. Up and down.
Three – four. Again and again
Five – six Seven – eight
We are Germany! Well done!
One - two. Up and down.
Three – four. Again and again

Seconded! This song is, like so totally Nazi (channelling Felix is scary XP).

The translations look ok (don't take my word for it though).

And btw, you tagged the post as Germania; going by your post, though, I think you're talking about Germany.

Know where I can download this song?

I find this song to be a huge turn-on for no apparent reason.
Yet another band whose discography I must search and plunder...

[identity profile] ecchipiro.livejournal.com 2009-06-13 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, definitely fits!

Esibrecher are one of my alltime fav bands.

[identity profile] ecchipiro.livejournal.com 2009-06-13 09:39 am (UTC)(link)
The translation is okay. Some things sound a little off, though.

"Zu Befehl" should be"Aye-Aye Sir"
Fleiß ist Tugend, Wahrheit Pflicht: "Diligence is virtue, truth is obligation" or "truth an obligation".

I can check the rest of the lyrics later, don't have the time right now. Sorry. D:

[identity profile] ecchipiro.livejournal.com 2009-06-13 10:02 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, I've done this in, like, ten minutes. Some things you cannot translate directly. I'll add explanations at the end of the lyrics:

One – Two, Sun – Light
Diligence is virtue, Truth an obligation*
Aye-Aye Sir. Yessir!
We are German robots
Three – four, starry night
Work done. Well done
Tough goals – set high
The machine works perfectly
Correct – perfect

We must multiply
Bring the world salvation
Born to serve
Risen from ruins

Left – Right, in a square*

Kindergarden – Tin Soldier
Always punctual - ever correct
Because there is something German inside of us
Correct – Perfect
Fix – Six. Monitored
Attention – well done
Left, right – move along
German citizen – Thank-you!
In time – exact

We must multiply
Worship our dear Lord
Bred to triumph
Chosen but never content*

One – Two, up and down
Three – Four, over and over again
Five – Six, Seven – Eight
We are germany! Well done!
One – Two, up and down
Three – Four, over and over again
Goose step, Hofbräuhaus*
And the Sendung mit der Maus*

"Diligence is virtue, Truth an obligation" I added indefinite articles in the English translation since, in German, you sometimes can leave them out without it sounding weird or off. Though, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.

"Im Quadrat" refers to the military marches.

It says "chosen and never content" in German, but the meaning is "but never content" since we Germans are said to never be happy with anything. *lol*

"Hofbräuhaus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hofbr%C3%A4uhaus_am_Platzl)" is a famous restaurant/pub in Munich

"Die Sendung mit der Maus" (The Programme with the Mouse) is a German children's series.

^^° I really don't think it fits germany
The melody fits very well but the text?! No >___<
Dear god, No! Never ever xD

[identity profile] bf-nightingale.livejournal.com 2009-06-13 12:28 pm (UTC)(link)
What Germany? If you mean Nazi!Germany, yes of course, but today's Germany? OH HELL NO!!! *weeps*

[identity profile] szmeterlog.livejournal.com 2009-06-13 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
That does not fit Germany at all !! °^°
Why do people have to equate us with such songs!?

[identity profile] brownlupine.livejournal.com 2009-06-13 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
You hurt my little German heart.
Do you really think we are like that?
You know, Ludwig represents whole Germany, not only the bad one... even at that time...

[identity profile] brownlupine.livejournal.com 2009-06-13 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Excuse me. Maybe you misunderstood something of what I said above. I know my English isn't the best. If so, tell me instead of answering something like that, if that is okay.

[identity profile] unheilig17.livejournal.com 2009-06-13 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Mjaa...I love Eisbrecher x) ...and yes, it fits Ludwig.
Even though the song has nothing to do with Nazis >_> The song is more self-ironic.
(It hurts me, that almost all say that we germans are Nazis D:.. )

nyaa~ whatever^^

As an Eisbrecher fan...

[identity profile] akai_senshi.livejournal.com 2009-06-13 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Eisbrecher FTMFW!!!

My personal opinion is that this song is satirical- it makes fun of Gratuitous German, along with the stereotypes that foreigners think of when they think of Germany and Germans.

As much as I'd like to see Ludwig sing it, I can more easily see Alfred getting it stuck in his head, and Ludwig going, "Do you have any idea what you're SAYING?!?"

Mod!

Wow, I hope you just missed it, because if you say nothing about this

http://community.livejournal.com/hetalia/2351940.html?thread=59902532#t59902532

then I see a whole lot of trouble for the future of this community...

Re: Mod!

[identity profile] a-liger.livejournal.com 2009-06-15 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll keep an eye on it. I don't want to see a "I want to get in the last word" comment to continue that petty fight.

Re: Mod!

[identity profile] love-michiyuki.livejournal.com 2009-06-15 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't even call it a petty fight, wolfofzion is just being plain rude for no reason.

I really don't mean to imply anything, but if I was a mod here I'd write them a warning to behave, I don't really don't think we need aggressive people in here...

[identity profile] succisive.livejournal.com 2009-06-26 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, in the case of "Diligence is virtue, Truth an obligation, you can actually leave an off.

"Diligence is virtue, truth, obligation" is how I think you would put it, in such a situation. It doesn't sound wrong to say it out loud, at least to me, that way.

Buuut I may be wrong. >_>

[identity profile] succisive.livejournal.com 2009-06-26 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, calm down. Just because people aren't wholly agreeing with you does not mean you should or can be rude.

[identity profile] ecchipiro.livejournal.com 2009-06-26 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
In this case the meaning of "Wahrheit Pflicht" refers to a must, as in "truth is an obligation", or as someone translated it here (http://www.eis-brecher.com/en/lyrics/suende#this_is_deutsch) "truth is obligatory". Our grammar is weird, I know. D:

[identity profile] succisive.livejournal.com 2009-06-26 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I know. :D Weird? German grammar rawks out and half the time makes more sense than in English grammar, what are you talking about?

As far as I can tell, though, when you translate it into English, the "truth, obligation" part is understood to take on the same conditional that the previous statement had, so it would end up as truth is an obligation. It's just...more poetic language, I think. Seems to me.

[identity profile] succisive.livejournal.com 2009-06-26 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
*I do mean that whole thing about what are you talking about in a teasing way. :P

[identity profile] waldmaer.livejournal.com 2009-09-18 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I just love that song ^-^
awww, die Sendung mit der Maus xD
