That time of year for our favorite delightfully cheesy and trashy europop song contest, EUROVISION! Come on over to
eurotalia for the annual chat that views the whole contest through Hetalia goggles. We have treats and sparkly .gifs!
Starting tomorrow at 21:00 CET (check local time zones here), Montenegro, Iceland, Greece, Greece, Latvia, Albania, Romania, Switzerland, Belgium, Finland, Israel, San Marino, Cyprus, Denmark, Russia, Hungary, Austria, Moldova, and Ireland; will compete for a spot in the semifinals (Saturday)!
Will Greece bring the heat with their song Aphrodisiac? How will Russia's singing grandmas fair? or Austria's ode to asses? Will Moldova bring crazy hats and an epic sax man?
Join the party here! And find out!

Hetalia on Toonami?
May. 21st, 2012 03:35 pmJason DeMarco, former Toonami producer, recently posted about sending suggestions for future Toonami (the Toonami that will now be airing in Adult Swim's old programming block) acquisitions via twitter at https://twitter.com/#!/adultswim

If the man is looking for money and ratings, Hetalia is where it's at. As far as sales go, Hetalia has always been a top performer in NA, to the point Rightstuf is currently going out of its way to save the manga from the abyss what was Tokyopop. I'm aware it's already airing on Funimation's channel, but I and many others don't have access to that channel where we live. And that never stopped FMA from airing on Adult Swim, so.. I think Hetalia would certainly be a fair contender. And the dub is raunchy enough, who knows, might pull in some viewers from the comedy block.
