[Nico MAD] East Asia CM Plus Insane Political Maps (Fall of US and Axis Powers AU)

www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5529370

Russian Professor predicts the fall of the U.S. The Wall Street Journal is sure sounding like The Onion nowadays.

This would make a good fanfic/fanart, Ivan predicting fall of Alfred lol

Also, I don't know how many of you have read Philip K Dick's "The Man in the High Castle". It's an SF AU in which the Axis powers won WWII.

The map of the fictional premise of this novel.

Wall Street Journal: The central North American Republic part of Canada or under its influence? With our close economic ties, if the US is going down, you can be sure it'll be dragging Canada down with it. Still, I lol'd. That would be America's nightmare come true.

Video: I've always assumed Korea and Japan were a lot older than Taiwan, if age=country development is true. In fact, I've seen many fanon depictions of Taiwan as a young girl and growing up to be a teenager after colonization.

Never read "The Man in the High Castle", but it sounds interesting. According to the wiki, there's no Chinese translation of the novel. Hahaha, surprised? No. In fact, I'm wondering if it's banned altogether.

Damn, my summer reading list just got longer. :D

That map... to tell the truth, I lolled, but thought it was an interesting idea at the same time. No country is eternal, after all..

But personally, I'd say Mexico would also get California and the Southwest, and the Northwest would probably go to Canada. Though I guess if China really wanted to get its hands on California, it's probably not a country Mexico would want to up and declare war against...

And would Europe even want the East Coast? 8D

Also, the Plains States... this Kyansan heeyr thaynks Canada would not want to annex a bunch of red states. (as in Republican, not communist XD) My guess is that the Central US will turn into some kind of state-less backwater governed by spheres of influence ala... Antarctica.
It may be "the breadbasket" now, but once the aquifers dry out we're all screwed...ahahaha

Hhaha, boy, am I ashamed.... the article is full of crap. Don't even read it. It's been
around for at least 100 years (..) and the majority or people doesn't even think about this stuff!

*Agrees with Pozner, as she always does*

I disregarded everything the man wrote when he said that Kentucky and Tennessee would be in the same territory as the East Coast and join the European Union. If his theory is that America's cultural differences are to be it's downfall, he should know that the East CCoast MAKES FUN OF KENTUCKY AND TENNESSE!

Well, no country is static and no empire lasts forever.

Personally, I think that Texas would rather die than get back with Mexico. And the rest of the Southern States would be Very Unhappy if they were under the influence of Mexico.

Has it not occurred to the man that independence is also an option?

I'm pretty sure that works both ways. XD
Just so you know, as a kid, I always counted anything east of Missouri as "the East Coast." Still do. I go to college in central New York state now, which I count as practically in the ocean, but these silly New Yorkers would disagree... But let's not get geographist here. :D

I agree about the total lack of cultural study in what he said. Like Arizona going to China instead of Mexico? What?
And I really, really doubt that the EU would accept any part of the US. Them Europeans ain't gonna change.

But I think it's not complete and utter crack. That guy isn't basing his master plan kolkolkol hypothesis on American culture. If foreign powers did indeed take over the US, they would take what they want. Since when have colonizers cared about what the locals want? I mean, look how deeply the nations of Africa got screwed over.

HOWEVER, the whole idea is still rather LOL at the moment. ^^
