Year of China in Russia was in 2007, while year of Russia in China was 2006. Over 500,000 Chinese were directly involved in the festivities, which drew a television audience of hundreds of millions.Nearly 200 festivities, including some 10 national-level events, are planned that will cover a wide range of fields such as politics, economy, science, culture and education. It was the biggest overseas exhibition China has held overseas in almost three decades.
China will launch the Year of Russian Language this year, while Russia will stage the Year of Chinese Language in 2010.

My first version included the bear ears, but they ended up looking like Micky Mouse ears on Yao, or worse yet, it made him look like his genderbender-self.
