Title: Lengyel, Magyar - két jó barát
Author/Artist: me >_>
Character(s) or Pairing(s): Austria, Hungary/Poland
Rating: G, I guess...
Warnings: I can't draw Austria properly. Especially in a nightcap. Pencilwork.
Summary: Hungary and Poland meet to remember the old, good times.

(some explanation rambling, if you don't feel like reading it skip it to see the last "panel" of the comic)
Józef Bem was a general who fought (led armies) in (amongst others) Nowember Uprising and Hungarian Revolution of 1848, being a hero of both Poland and Hungary. He was a skilled soldier and a charismatic leader. As I'm lazy and space-saving for further read I send you to Wikipedia -_^
Furthermore, Poland and Hungary have a history of friendly conections, including two (short lived) personal unions.
The title is a quote from a proverb functioning both in Poland and Hungary, the versions are a bit different, but the general idea is that Poles and Hungarians are good friends, both for fighting and drinking. I don't speak Hungarian, but I've been told that "barát" can mean both a friend and a boyfriend and for that duality I chose this language version. I know, it's silly of me.
Also I couldn't stop myself from throwing in a lame joke about polish love for alkohol. Still it's true that Hungary is well known for it's liquors. A curious thing is that Tokaji was one of the favourite liquors of the pre-partitioning polish nobility, often used as the wedding wine (during partitions switched to wedding vodka because it was more easily reachable and unhapilly it stayed that way)

Well, some inspiration was also a certain song about Ułani (and how they are being loved by maidens, widows and married women alike), that's why Poland's on horse ^^
Probably there are loads of mistakes for I have no idea about horses, sabres and the like, please forgive me for that. I also beg pardon of the Austria lovers. Actually, I'm not good at drawing any of the Hetalia characters, but at least I didn't stuff the other two into nightgowns and make them run around like that.
The most worrying thing about the comic is how much fun I had while drawing that. Hope the Reverse Satisfaction Law doesn't apply this time.
The second most worrying thing is that I've read only the scanlated Hetalia comics and am unsure of my ability to keep "people" in character.

Yay for the Ulani reference and Poland blowing a kiss from his horse! So~ in-character! And for Bem and liquors - I love historical references! And Austria going to bed early while his wife parties with old friends is perfect. I giggled a lot at this, thanks!

[I'm glad you find it cute^^ I was seriously worried about Austria-lovers reactions because I enjoy picking on him too much for my own good.
But goodness, how can it be I ended up fangirling Austria? XD]

[For example, you can not fangirl Austria if you're afraid of Hungary -_^
And that answer really made me giggle. But woe! I'm half-rping again!]
[Why somehow I see Roderich more in a pistol duel than in a sabre one?]

Moim zdaniem byłoby ciekawie, gdyby byli "kanonicznie" ex.

[Glad I amused you! Half-rping is fun anyway
Hm, I could see either? I'd like to think he'd have more sword experience personally and would go for that first. Also blargh @ 3days between comments >_>]

And half-rping is dangerous, once I became good friends with a fictional character through it. But I have to admit it was fun.
Also, I just love you Hetalia rp-ers <3 Sometimes I feel like joining that, but I have issues even with keeping my own charas in-character (well, not all, but there are some I just never get right), not mentioning the ones created by others. And not to mention I'd end up rp-ing that idiot Feliks.
And speaking of that idiot Feliks he had quite a lot of sabre experience. He even had his own way of sabre fencing but being the idiot he is he got to conclusion it's so obvious there's no point in writing down any instructions and then forgot it.]
