Yay, Italy brothers! :D

This thread is meant for event celebration and chitchat. I hope it will bring in some activity.
Since I'll unfortunately be away most of the weekend (argh) and the team is busy, please keep each other updated in the comments. I hope everyone will have a fun event (I'll try to come in and join the discussion, if there will be one, when I can).
Translations will be posted on Hetascanlations as usual.

Yesss, I can't wait too, I wonder what she will look like! Hopefully she will be the first of a long series of ancient nations. Plus, it's always nice to get a new nation, especially a female one, to balance the sex-ratio a bit! ^^

I couldn't agree more! It's nice to see what new character design Hima will show us. This also means that we'll probably get to see more of Egypt too. He hasn't shown up much except in a few comic strips way back and I'm curious to see how Hima portrays him ^^ Same goes for Mama Egypt :)

Yeah, it's true that we never got to see that much about him, this could get very interresting!
I'm pretty sure Mama Greece will show up soon after, maybe we could get some new Antic stories, with the nations point of view and a bit of historical figures ? I feel the last Word stars chapter (http://hetascanlations.tumblr.com/post/109862361335/hetalia-world-stars-chapter-39-original) hit a good balance between those two perspectives.

World Stars chapters were originally included in the general update discussion thread, but people stopped checking it when it dropped off the top of the index page, so I stopped updating it. We could try making a new thread for each individual chapter (or blog update once the event is over) again, but someone would have to make them, and I don't know if they would get any reactions.

I think it's the colors. They look different somehow... even shinier than usual.

They do seem more vivid, well compared to the very soft and light coloring of his sketches at least. It's probably to give a setting sun feeling with all the pink...
Ah! I think that it's the absence of slight blushes or otherwise pronounced shadows on the skin that "bother" me slightly. It makes England somewhat ghostly. :-> That could be pretty fitting for him though!

Although I couldn't help but notice, it looks like he's either changing his art style a bit, or having some problems with jaws/chins in the recent pictures.

Yes, his style is evolving quite a bit, I see something different with the chins as well, they are more rough/sharp than before.

On another note, I liked a lot this recent blog update (http://hetascanlations.tumblr.com/post/115804339305/blog-update-tulip-fever), Luxembourg is shaping up as a soft-spoken, pure and naïve kind of boy I guess ? I look forward to seeing the dynamics in that trio "flourish" ! ;)

On the topic of the evolution of characterization, they have been obvious shifts for Italy and France, for instance, but did anyone pick up some subtler ones ?
