News: Christmas-related Event will be 24th.

I just wanted to share here that Himaruya has stated on his blog that he will work on a Christmas-related thing. Initially he said it would be the 22nd, but on his newest post he says it will be on the 24th. (Stuff came up that pushed it back.)

Previously, I stated that it would be a continuation of the 2011 Christmas Event (since he did continue & finish the 2013 Halloween one.)

Are you sure he means the 2011 event?
When he referred to the event he wanted to do on the 22nd (first referenced to be done some time in January)previously, he didn't make it that specific. Especially under the original context where someone asked whether he would be doing an event, he said not particularly in December, but maybe in January. He later revised the blurry date to a more specific one, but did he explicitly state that it is going to be a continuation of the 2011 event?
I am not discounting the fact he could still mean the continuation of the 2011 event even if he did not explicitly state it so, because it is highly likely that he will not start a new event until the last one is finished. It's just that I am curious to the exact language of the original text.

I am also wondering like the comment above regarding the format of the update. To me, it would be more request-orientated than an actual event with an updating plot? He previously stated that he is very busy (more in December than January) and Kitayume does not look fixed.

I edited the post so it's more vague as to what's happening and not pin-pointing the old Christmas event. I can't say for certain what it is exactly, and it's more likely that discussion among the translation group hinted that it might be, so I got a bit carried away. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

He has not specifically stated that it would be a continuation of the 2011 Christmas event, but considering he finally wrapped up the 2013 Halloween event this past year, it's not too far to think he may try to wrap up the Christmas one too. He meant to wrap them up in 2013, but it never happened; you can still see it mentioned on his main page (クリスマス2011 - 2013年12月25日から再開予定). And he always takes requests during events. XD So that's where our expectation comes from. He might surprise us with something completely unexpected though, who knows! ^^

It looks like a few people returned to the fandomly comm for the event, but since we are now members only and also most of us have drifted away from Hetalia, I think a thread on this comm would be preferable (also, we could really use the attention).
Question is, should we just use this thread, or have a separate one?

I think a separate thread which the OP keeps updated would probably be really good! jammerlea and I both work with the Hetascanlations team, so I'm not sure if we'll be able to keep a thread updated properly. If no one else steps up to make one, though... I guess I can try.

I unfortunately will be having a busy weekend, so I wouldn't be able to keep a thread updated, either (in fact, I shouldn't even be at the computer right now). :/
But then again, I'm not even sure if we're allowed to post the translations instead of linking them. Maybe we could make a generic thread and whoever is around could post update links in the comments?

As long as we try to keep it in one post (until the post is maxed... if that's even possible with the comm nowadays) I think it's fine if other people post updates within the post.
