Also the whole Prussia-may-die thing is going on, which is a very dramatic change compared to our assumption that every living nation in the series is basically immortal, so long as they were/are a nation since the start of Hetalia.
The event appears to be concluding as well, with the historical figures appearing to be the big surprise of the whole event.
To each their own. Hima has given us a lot, and he always seems eager to return when can't for whatever reason. He appears to clearly love what he's doing, so it's enjoyable for him as well. And the fandom (on Tumblr/Facebook more than LJ this time around) expresses excitement every time he's back. For me, that's enough to have me wait.
