I wanted to post something about this xD; but since I was at the office, I couldn't.
i thought the same... So, maybe Hetalia Vol. 6 could be the last volume??

Also, if he switchs to Shueisha, it means that, he maybe won't update his blog (I think it has a direct connection with Gentosha ;A; )

Maybe add the tag "discussion"??

It's all rumour and speculation right now. It has been all over Twitter in the Japanese fandom for a while lol.
At the moment, you can't really say much since there's no official announcement on the ending of Hetalia in Birz at all - everything so far is speculation.
I'm busy with orders at the moment but if I find some time and no one else has translated any articles about it, I'll offer look up all the articles and put up my translation on it uvu

P.S. The only official thing right now is that there was a notice that there will be no Hetalia in September's BIRZ issue. There is no further news on the continuation or discontinuation of Hetalia.

Yup. there is kinda weird that there isn't enough info yet...

Just speculation here,
but it is likely Himaruya had some issues/disagreements with Gentosha or Sueisha offered something better once Hima's contract with Gentosha ended. This could be the reason why Himaruya hasn't updated his blog in a while too, since I believe they might be connected to Gentosha?

Considering how there are still events ongoing/coming up, we probably won't get any official announcements until the Jump SQ is released, closer to the release of vol. 6 or even later with an announcement /in/ volume 6 lol.

Yep, that's what I think too...

So I took a look quick look at a few articles talking about this image on Twitter and here is the translation sum up:
- An article basically talks about how quick the overseas reaction to the news about Himaruya's new series in Jump's SQ is! Since an overseas source caught wind of it first, going by the reaction from the article/Twitter.
- There is to be a new series by Himaruya in Jump SQ's (going by the image, it looks to be their August edition which is released in July).
- The article also talks about how there is a lot of speculation and rumours by fans but there is nothing confirmed so far - it just further goes on to speculate.
- It is speculated/rumoured in the article linked that Hetalia will end with Birz’s August edition. But they say to wait for September to see if there is any official announcement.

So yeah, nothing official asides from the new series in SQ!

So basically recent official news sum up:
- There is to be no Hetalia in BIRZ’s September edition
- Hetalia Volume 6 manga will be released in October
- Going by the image/article, this will be a new series by Himaruya in Sueisha’s Jump SQ in July (aka their August edition)
- Animate Hetalia Cafe collaboration to be in Tennouji in August too! (This month's one aka July's one is in Ikebukuro)

Official info for DVD Vol.3:
- Extra unaired episode in Volume 3 will be: "The Centennial Gift" from the strips in vol. 4 where England struggles on finding a present for America.
- Not for sale vocal CD will be: Germany and England
- Cast video will feature voice actors for Germany and England
- Purchase from the official online shop will get a present of an original mochimerica pin badge
- Whole DVD series of Beautiful World purchase gift will be a 3 mochi mascot set (each volume comes with a purchase token/ticket that you keep/collect to get a present for buying the whole set)

Yeah, this is what I think as well. Himaruya may have signed an exclusivity contract with Sueisha and thus Hetalia's future for now is up in the air. Most probably he and Gentosha have are still talking it out. However, I can see Hetalia moving to one of Sueisha's magazines with some new name. It's not like it hasn't happened before. Anyways, several of the Japanese fans I follow in twitter where freaking out.

[identity profile] psanon.livejournal.com 2013-07-01 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Hetalia was first serialised in Birz in 2011 so it makes sense that their contract is over now and so it might be up in the air etc.

But as pointed out by one of the Japanese fans, it's best to just wait for the September Birz edition to see if there is an announcement there or just wait until there is one whenever lol;; And same here, a lot of my Japanese friends and fans on Twitter were freaking out over it too lol;;;;

(More speculation, but... considering how tight and strict the guidelines for publishing are esp. with manga too, very few companies would allow their authors to release a series with another publishing company. So I think the changeover is very high... To me everything kind of points to a changeover u_u but we have to wait for an official announcement)

[identity profile] psanon.livejournal.com 2013-07-01 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Whoops, that should be *September edition of SQ, not August. Sorry got my dates mixed up xD

And at the moment, we don't know yet since everything is so vague and there hasn't been any official announcements of anything in relation to continuation/ending u__u;;

[identity profile] psanon.livejournal.com 2013-07-01 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Correction***
- There is to be a new series by Himaruya in Jump SQ's according to the poster of the image, it claims to be for the September edition which is released in August.

Please note that this is NOT an official source though.

Thank you!.
Well, I read that on tumblr this: Taishou Rouman no Oni-san Yameteeee!! (Stoooop It!! Taisho Romance Demon) in its September issue (to be released August 3).
More history, strange looking cats, cute girls and frilly outfits to come!! That's the Himaruya we all know and love!

Since it supposedly has history... maybe it'd be a kind of Hetalia "complement·"... But let's wait official announcement....

DAMN, I can't wait! I'm so curious XD;

The series should be continuing as an online webcomic for the time I guess. It could mean that he can return to the blog but we won't be seeing official physical Himaruya stuff in a long time. This is my prediction.

[identity profile] misty-rain.livejournal.com 2013-07-02 12:04 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be the best possible outcome for the fandom, I think.
Having Himaruya come back online would literally be a dream come true for me.

[identity profile] normalaatsra.livejournal.com 2013-07-02 01:26 pm (UTC)(link)
So I see Himaruya is starting a new series to be running on a new publisher Shuiesha, right at the time where he is closing a series with the current Gentosha publisher. And no Hetalia in September BIRZ. Something is up.

But it must be likely that Hetalia 6 will be his last one at Gentosha before a change of license.

[identity profile] xxmapsyrxx.livejournal.com 2013-07-03 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Absolutely the best possible outcome.

This new turn of events is making me re-consider the stuff many of us discussed in the other post (http://hetalia.livejournal.com/12586093.html) regarding the status of Himaruya-sensei.

I was thinking of that as well. I'm really interested to see how this plays out. If nothing else, something appears to be on the verge of changing.

I'm sorry that I revive an "old now post!". But it was finally confirmed by Shueisha in his site: http://jumpsq.shueisha.co.jp/sq/yokoku.html
And I found some infor in Tumblr too: http://hetaliaarchives.tumblr.com/post/54628254598/shueisha-has-confirmed-on-their-website-that-a-new

But we still don't know what will happen to Hetalia and Gentosha...

[identity profile] normalaatsra.livejournal.com 2013-07-07 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
This came in late but I just asked someone I know who understands a lot about licensing. I told this person about Himaruya's publisher situation by mentioning about Shueisha and the new series, the ending of Chibisan Date on the current publisher, and an uncertain future for Hetalia.

The person said if Himaruya were to start publishing with Shueisha, it is certain Himaruya would be moving to the new publisher for everything else. If Gentosha and Shueisha were to publish Himaruya's work together, it would cause a lot of conflict. So it will be true that Himaruya will be moving to Shueisha.

Concern for Hetalia, I asked the person if switching publishers could cause Hetalia to end. The person said it could only happen if the ownership rights suggest this. If Gentosha has full ownership of Hetalia, they cannot do anything else but only end Hetalia. If Himaruya owns all of it, he can transfer the series to Shueisha. And if some parts of the content are mixed, only content by Gentosha and Himaruya's assistants (that are provided by Gentosha) cannot be transferred and is forbidden to be touched by Himaruya (i.e. if the CD cover was designed with help of assistants, the CD becomes discontinued). This could reveal the reason for the degrading art style; due to assistants literally drawing Gentosha rights allover the BIRZ strips or the new Hetalia content.

However, anything drawn by Himaruya is owned by him. As he owns Hetalia, he can transfer the series name to Shueisha.

In theory, Hetalia is safe, and Himaruya is safe, all was needed was for Himaruya to find a new publisher and the end of his contract with Gentosha. It will go smoothly.
