Sorry for double posting here, but I have some terrible news about Kitayume website that people used to see Himaruya's image gallery.

This page was eaten by him.

go back キタユメ。kitayume.

Those who try to enter Kitayume through Himaruya's Geocities website

will not see anything. Direct link to Kitayume will be greeted with Mochimerica. He had eaten the page. Now I am not sure when did this happen before I came across this, but this is really something I didn't expect. Did Himaruya plan this? Is this really a 404 error?

Kitayume7 website was a place for Himaruya to post images from drawings he did, sketches, doodles, chibis, and phoots he took and upload it there.

This is the first time I have seen the 404 error. I can't view the gallery because it says Server error.

However, the Kitayume Image Gallery website is still down. A friend of mine thinks that Himaruya is redesigning the website. But who knows?

So far, Kitayume7 Image Website hosts even character references people use to draw the Hetalia cast. It's a shame we can't use that site now if we were too late to save the photos. It's still funny that Himaruya used this image for 404. After all, Mochimerica is the mascot for the Kitayume.

The gallery page (http://www.kitayume7.com/gallery/) doesn't seem to be loading for some reason. Might be server trouble.

Though its worth noting that the "home page" (http://www.kitayume7.com/) has always displayed that mochiamerica message.

That fat mochi was made since long time ago to greet us when we access it without "gallery/"
but that gallery being empty...it's quite unusual.

Ah, I see. Considering Mochimerica is the mascot for Kitayume, I shouldn't be surprised.

A friend of mine thinks that Himaruya's publisher told him to take it down. She also thinks that Himaruya might just be redesigning the Kitayume website. But who knows?

he took down that site might be for various reasons
I mean, he put his old pictures there
including some of his pictures(I mean pictures he took while he's on a trip to somewhere like Hong Kong, Turkey, etc)
there are a lot of possibilities on why he took it down
for now, it's safe to say it's server error

I don't think we should be overly concerned; if it's not merely an error it could very well be that Himaruya has decided to redesign the page. His skills (both artistic and probably with website design too) have greatly improved/changed over the past year or two; so perhaps he thinks it's time for a overhaul. Failing that (seeing as it is his gallery); he could be going through what many an artist go through from time to time. That dreaded moment when you look back at your past work/photos and just cringe for various reasons. Thinking this way maybe he decided to remove some old art work?

Whatever the reason is I'm sure it'll be resolved and up again soon.

The 404 error image is nothing new. That always happened if you go directly to Kitayume7 and not the gallery page.

As for the gallery page, it says it's a server error.
To clarify, if it's a server error, it's NOT Himaruya's doing. Himaruya's probably not in charge of the server. Nobody told him to take it down, the people running and housing the website are having trouble. It's not a big deal at all and it should be back up eventually. It's a problem if you get a "page not found" error or something similar--that means it's completely gone, not that the server is causing trouble. This is nothing to be freaked out about.

Or maybe they took it down for updates... I remember that some years ago something similar happened, and after it, Hima changed the server (but told us through his blog).

He used to have another gallery that went down as well. That domain no longer functions at all. XD I wouldn't worry about it too much. You could always send him a message to ask about it.
