(fanfic) Hanami Kitty

Title: Hanami Kitty
Author/Artist: kira
Character(s) or Pairing(s): Greece, Japan
Rating: G
Warnings: First time writing for Hetalia; be gentle.
Summary: Greece joins Japan for some cherry blossom viewing…
For Kat and Jen…

Greece found Japan sitting under a gnarled old tree that was covered in pretty pink blossoms. He looked so serene as he sipped his tea that he was loathe to pester him. But Japan looked so pretty there, dressed in his finest kimono, that Greece couldn’t help himself. So he sauntered over to him and sat down.

Japan looked over at him, a tight little smile pulling the corners of his mouth briefly upwards. “Have you come to join me in hanami?” He sipped his tea. “You know, cherry blossom viewing.”

Greece smiled. “I’d love to see your cherry blossoms.”

Japan’s eyes widened. “Ummm… yes.” He smiled. “They’re ummm…”

“What?” Greece leaned towards him.

Japan felt his cheeks heating up. “There…”

“Where?”

Japan closed his eyes. Greece was so close he could kiss him, but that was not right. They were both men and that would never do. He tried focusing on something else, anything other than how brilliantly green-gold his eyes are. “Ah… all around.” He gestured helplessly. “See?”

“I see…” Greece trailed off, enjoying how flustered Japan was getting, until he spotted a cat. “Here, kitty, kitty…”

“Oooh! Where?” Japan looked around.

“There!” Greece said coming nose to nose with his fellow Country. They were close enough to kiss…

“Meow…” A little ball of fluff sauntered past, breaking the mood.

“There!”

“Where?”

Greece put his arm around the smaller country and pointed.

“D’aww…”

“Yeah…”

They spent the rest of the afternoon, watching the kitten, the cherry blossoms forgotten…
