Favorite Hetalia Moments

Since things have quieted down in the fandom, I thought it would be great to start up a discussion and talk about our favorite Hetalia moments. It doesn't have to be a particular scene and it can be something-- how shall I put it--- more general.

Since I have a bunch of favorite moments, I'll try and keep this as simple as I can. So it here goes! In no particular order (except for maybe, the first), these are my favorite Hetalia moments:

- Germany's expressions
- France in moments of panic and desperation
- Italy's eyes
- Russia's handsome face
- England in a nurse uniform + an awkward discussion with America
- Estonia, Russia + the Internet Debacle
- Halloween: The Slave Costumes + Taiwan's horrified reaction
- Belarus' Alice in Wonderland
- England + Sealand + Christmas 
- Romano picking tomatoes
- China's "It's-all-your-fault" tantrums

and last but not least:

- Canada's existence

Oh wow, I could count a few things as favorites.

- The Call of Duty/Nations with Guns picture set
- Canada being cheered during Hetaween 2011
- Mochimerica. Just... Mochimerica. (With the exception of the horse-like form, which honestly just creeps me out)
- Everytime America laughs or goes 'DDD' - it just makes my day a million times better
- America and England with cat ears - my dream came true
- The fact that the series even exists and has/had a sizable fandom
- The amount of good historical fic in aforementioned fandom (do things like that count?)

I'm sure I can come up with more given some more time to think about it.

For some reason, I don't remember seeing America and England with cat ears.

I love it when the nations get into parental mode. Especially those two.

Ooh, there are so many brilliant moments to choose from! The ones that stick out for me are:
- England plotting his revenge with Black Magic and Busby's Chair
- Canada and Cuba's funny photo session in one of the Christmas events
- America and England as "Batman and Robin" during Hetaween 2011
- Prussia and India's dance routine in Hetaween 2011
- Spain being a news reader and reading out joke news in an April Fools event
- America dancing in the "Rooming with an American" comic strip
- Greece's cat army
- Young France and Baby England
- England with Baby America and/Baby Canada
- 2011 April Fools event (England in a tight female Nurse dress, lol!)
- The Nations as Mochis
- The Nations as Cats
- Switzerland drawing out enemies on a blackboard for Liechtenstein to beware of, but Liechtenstein tells him that his drawings of the animals are too cute!
- Chibitalia fighting off Ottoman Turkey with just a Bow and arrows!
- England's "Great Escape" from Germany and dressing up as an Italian!

It was in Chapter 6 (http://hetalia.livejournal.com/12093916.html#cutid1) of the Birz serialization. Yeah, they're fake ears, but they count for me.

I also like a lot of the, er, not-so-historical fics (read: crack, PWP smut, etc.), but the historical ones stand out because I don't usually get those in other fandoms and being a closeted history nerd, well... I'm like a kid in a candy store with this fandom, let's be honest.

And INDIA. How did I forget India? I waited so long for there to finally be an India in this series, and I forget to list his debut as one of my favorite moments. ARGH, where is my brain today?

That's OK, that just means that there are tons of great Hetalia moments! I forgot to write that I was excited at Cyprus's debut in last year's unfinished Christmas event, even though it was a quiet one! XD

I like that strip where Japan lost his cool when Germany invited Russia over to his house. xD and then showed ninja-style on Germany's roof.

That reminds me. I really do like it whenever Spain shows up but I've sort of forgot about him lately. ^^; I hope he gets more strips in the future. I would like it if he showed up without Romano more often even though I love Romano.

I love badass!Chibitalia. It makes me laugh whenever I think of that scene where Italy is lying to his younger self.

Are there any fics where Italy acts like his badass self? I know nyotalia!Italy comes off as badass.

Now I remember! How could I forget those cute faces? Lol. I can't believe America came up with that.

Same here. Of course, I admit that I do like reading those myself.... And of course, the added bonus is that you can't pull out a history book and have a number of possibilities as to what you could write. Okay, except for some more sensitive topics. But anyhow, it's kinda fun that a person could ship a nation with a multiple number of other nations- romantic or otherwise. And there's also the historical figures.

IKR? Japan loosing his cool is the coolest thing ever. The moment in the anime that made me LOL was when Japan is looking what he is aloud to eat in their new "diet". By the time he's denied the soused mackerel, he's histerical.

The Nyotalia Strips in Vol. 4 (I was afraid they wouldn't get an official appearance in the manga, so I was happy but somewhat disappointed that they were only a "hallucinations" of some sort.)
Anytime the Asians are all together
The girls of Hetalia meeting up together (there are so few females in the series that they must be like sisters of some sort...)

Despite real life history, it seems like England gets along fairly well with his former colonies like Australia. Kinda nice.

-Anytime Italy touches Germany inappropriately and is basically "punished" with more inapproprite touching
-Pretty much every moment between Belarus and Russia
-The strip where Canada starts insultig America and he's so ruthless that America ends up crying and England tells him to stop (I just freaking love BAMF!Canada)

Speaking of the inappropriate touching, I remember that special Hetalia event (Bloodbath, I think?) where Germany asks Italy to strip for the sake of saving the entire world.

Hima is such a shiptease!

I love every scene between Belarus and Russia. I also like that strip where she held her smile for 5 seconds for the camera and then, switched back into scary mode. All for the sake of Russia. xD

I hope we get to see Canada playing hockey in the future. ;-)

Oh gosh, there are just so many moments! I have to say at the very least, my upmost favorite moment is the strip with France and the French soldier. That's just beautiful in my opinion.
-Everything with Chibitalia and HRE
-The revealing of America's costume during Hetaween 2011 (and the fact England uses Twitter) / Everyone slowly becoming Germany's slave and getting drunk at the end.
-Christmas Bloodbath 2011 with Italy knowing by memory what Germany's chest size is / Germany laughing like an American with Prussia snickering behind him / THE MAN IN THE BUNNY SUIT MYSTERY / Iceland's dream with Turkey
-When Germany and Italy were trying to find what, pressure points?, and England spots them and yells something like "I thought you two were just friends?!"
-BUON SAN VALENTINO
-Hungary as a child proclaiming that she has what boys have making Prussia uncomfortable.
-Christmas Bloodbath 2012 with Germany asking Italy to strip and Italy agreeing / Finding out it was Romano / Sealand beating up the parallel / Finland and Norway becoming furious at the defeat of Sweden
-All the Mochi strips XD I don't know what Hima was thinking when drawing that, but it's brilliant!
-When America was using the computer to find out where Germany or someone was and it told him and England to swim (I had a similar experience with my friend's mom, who did not read all the directions and at the end it said to swim 3 miles!)
-Turkey praising how Italy has grown up and is mellow compared to how he was as a child, making Germany yell out Italy's name in confusion.
-Turkey and Greece at that spa place.
-Sweden joking around and showing Finland his Dambolis (or whatever it was called) box with Sealand in it.
-Sweden and Finland traveling together for the first time.
-"M'wife".
-Sweden agreeing to do his best in finding?/having? a child for Finland.
-The naming of Hanatamago
-Spain and Romano at the restaurant with all the turtles.
-Romano beating up the mafia just to get to Spain
-Italy saying he got closer to Germany in the shower XD

-Prussia helping Hungary when she got injured

I was so happy when Hima squeezed in Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding in Hetalia. Makes me wished we saw more humans in their universe. I secretly wish for Queen Elizabeth to show up. I'm happy that you brought up the dub! There are a few things that I don't like about it since it doesn't... have that tender touch that the Japanese dub coveys. But I still like listening to it a lot. :-) and it can be rather funny to listen. Germany's life, for example, sounds more stressful in English. >> cockoo clocks

I enjoy the references to current events. Especially regarding the world economic crisis.

I don't mind the rambling. After all, this thread is a way of reminding people what they love about Hetalia. Even though another Birz issue came out, not much has been going on in this community.

Chibitalia is cute and hilarious with cherries on top. I remember that strip where (I think) Netherlands was in Italy and couldn't help but feel a little intimidated when he noticed that the little Italy brothers were reeking of gold.
