This is the submissions thread for the LJ Hetalia fandom's Christmas project.

We're creating a mosaic/quilt of images, and uploading it to a webpage that will be emailed to Himaruya.
Submissions:

- Christmas cards
- any sort of thank-you message
- pictures of holiday celebrations where you live
- holiday fanart

Tehd's going to work on the website and the mosaic.
Submissions can be posted here!

Submissions are due no later than January 5th. Please don't submit more than 4 pictures! Minimum size: 768x768

A question for the technology-impaired: is taking a picture with a camera and just uploading gonna work?

Can it be a picture of me celebrating Christmas, or are we not doing pictures of ourselves?

HMMM, I will resize them so they can be as large as you want (well not too crazy that I can't even open the thing LOL) I think a range of NO LESS than 768x768 because I don't want to have to enlarge them and they look all blown up and blurry, but you can have them any big you want as long as you're well aware that they will be resized smaller to comfortably fit the page. ^^

And in fact I prefer .png files to any other! :D

HERE IS A GOOD IMAGE HOSTING SITE WHERE YOU DON'T NEED TO REGISTER, IT DOESN'T RESIZE THINGS OR MESS WITH QUALITY, IN CASE ANYONE NEEDS IT. ^^ (http://imgur.com)

That is also the image host I will use to put all the pictures on. (Unless anyone can suggest any better, but I find it easy to manage and also I use this host for all the other gifts

I'll have to get together with my cousin and friend to take a group picture and maybe couple it with a Hetalia-themed holiday idea I've been kicking around in the back of my head.

We have to wait til what Sigma says, but for my input I would love for submissions to end about a week after New Years, and then the site to be mailed about a week after then, which is similar to what we did last year.

Because I'm assuming people will be crazy busy with family and other holiday shenanigans up until then. And it gives us lots of time to gather the submissions and time for me to code it.

But yeah, gotta see how Sigma feels about that. :D

I'm a cosplayer, is it ok if I photograph myself and a few friends (most which are cosplaying as Hetalia) in full cosplay outfit and take a picture of us together with the christmas decorations in the background?

I think the due date should be not too long after Christmas (I was thinking this would be a Christmas present, but I guess a post-event present is more reasonable) You'll have to have a say in that, because you're setting it up.

Duuuuuuuude! Where did you get your icon?! I've been waiting for someone to do a big Hetaween icon dump but I haven't seen any yet. I saved a couple from during the event, but I want some nice coloured ones or something!

Submission date can be January 3rd or 4th? We gotta give people time to GET the pictures and their submissions done too, and I think the assumed Christmas Event may get in the way too, we shouldn't try sending it too close to the Holidays because I assume his inbox will be flooding especially by then and we wanna make sure the chances he gets to see it are high! XD

I can't figure out the email date though, I kind of have to see closer to the time how fast I can work on it, but I'm sure it won't be any later than Jan 10. @___@;;;
